To Everyone who threatned me early on in the project
You'll know who you are, what you said, and the lengths you went to to threaten me. I had set out to create a book sized Raspberry Pi computer with 5 port ethernet, injectable wifi, a 12v DC rechargable battery system, multiple USB, and access to the GPIO ports. I had set the price at $400(with hope...

Re: Commercially available RPI cases? Are there any yet?
Amen to the costs involved. With any new tech, first offerings will be expensive until people recoup their RD and prototyping...soon enough prices will drop.

Re: EBay sale Guy trying to sell Pi for 500 bucks.
I have been able to find different vendors for items, and lowered my profit to a point at which I'll make minimum wage for my work.
I still don't get why you have such hate. I just want to be paid for my work.

As a goodwill gesture I've appended the listing. I have now added this at the bottom :
Just to let everyone know I'll be donating 5% of my profits(no I won't tell you what they are) to the Raspberry Pi Foundation.

turnkey is a term that means you don't have to assemble anything yourself. When it arrives you just turn it on(linux skills not included lol).

Re: EBay sale Guy trying to sell Pi for 500 bucks.
<t>I just want to set the record straight. Re: EBay sale Guy trying to sell Pi for 500 bucks.
I'm not going to list all the parts and their cost, or where I'm getting them, or approximate what my time is worth for the work....I will summarize them as a general whole and say my costs range over $400.

Re: EBay sale Guy trying to sell Pi for 500 bucks.
<t>Look I have had a couple people message me on ebay and complain. Most have looked up bargain basement parts, left out my shipping costs, as well as not included numerous parts needed to make a system run. Am I profiting. YES. am I making a killing, no. I will be personally assembling, wiring, mod...

Re: Fake website popped up on youtube
<r>I keep track of new vids on youtube, as I like to hear any news or opinions on the Pi, and this one popped up with a link to a site with most of it's content copied from this one, and a paypal button for $35. I think someone should work on getting this down before anyone is duped. the site is <UR...

Re: Youtube without Flash
<t>I agree that while flash seems to be a sore point for many, that it's important. Almost anyplace where you see that flash could be used, and it can't, you see it as a top request. One example is Firefox on Droid. It has none, and is greatly wanted by everyone, and basically everyone just avoids i...

<r>Well, I haven't posted in here yet, but I usually wait to intro myself, because to be honest every time I do I tend to go on and on...the last time I did I ended up writing a 3000+ word story about my life and specifically a college experience and posted it elsewhere, because as an intro it was t...
