red LED flashing 4 slow 4 fast

Just got a RPi 3+. It happily boots from Raspbian image to get green led showing SD card activity and ethernet LED flashing show LAN. I tried a TheThingBox image and only got flashing red LED, no SD card activity and no LAN. I have tried 2.7 and 2.8 TTB. Is this just that there is no 3+ image for TT...

Ah, well. Hard to check. It is either SSH not starting then or board not. I might try hooking up to serial port to see if the mininum config is actually coming up then.

Not intuitive that power supply would selectively affect starting of ssh daemon only. Nothing in a power supply to "confuse" as there is no preset "idea" in a power supply about the amps drawn by devices attached. To confirm tried a different power supply from different manufacturer and it was simil...
