Need inspiration... WiFi ON/OFF Switch.

Hi, I need to make some sort of switch that will turn on/off Wifi and BT on my RPI Zero W. I know that I can configure config.txt to do this, but it is not the solution I prefer. In this solution I would need to make the choice and reboot. My situation is this...: I send my drone up in the air to ma...

Re: RPI Zero W vs Zero....?

That's not weird, it's impossible. Both boards use an identical SoC, so the GPU memory split should also be identical. Unless you have some other difference in the configuration of the Zero and Zero W you haven't mentioned, your "fix" makes no sense to me. I agree with you on that one - but the Zer...

Re: RPI Zero W vs Zero....?

Fount out of part of the problem - Zero need much more memory for the GPU than the W does... When I configured the Zero to use 192 Mb memory to GPU, it seems to work. This is kind of weird when the two boards should be identical. Havent tested the setup on W with Wifi and BT turned off yet... BR Ejn...

RPI Zero W vs Zero....?

Hi, Shouldn't the Zero be able to run any setup that is running on the Zero W ? I made a setup with raspivid capturing video to SD-Card and preview on TV-Out. If I run this setup on the W it works perfect - on the Zero it chrashes linux all the time. ( Haven't looked into logs yet.... ) Same SD-Card...

Re: RPI Zero W power ?

5.29 is at the upper limit of what you should use as power input to any model of RPi, so hope your meter is not reading low! if you measured the voltage with only the meter connected to the BEC you may find the voltage drops a bit when when you attach the loads. Thanks for your reply! Guess I need ...

RPI Zero W power ?

Hi,

I have a power BEC on my drone that sends out 5.29 volts.... I had hoped to connect it to GPIO - will that be overvoltage ?
Will the USB power input be able to manage 5.29 volts ?

Glad I took the time to use my multimeter before trying it.... :D

Have a nice day!

Re: ASUS USB-AC56 (RTL8812AU/RTL8821AU) Driver compile fails

Hi MrEngMan, I have downloaded your 8812au driver, and have it running on the EDIMAX EW-7711 DAC adapter. Will you be able to compile a usable version of hostapd that will use the 8812au driver as well ? Tried to compile the official code, but it does not connect to 8812au... Thanks in advance - hav...
