"mount -o remount,rw /" command didn't work for me. It couldn't find Partition ID so that I tried below commands and it worked. umount /  mount -o remount,rw /dev/mmcblk0p2 / This is exactly what I needed. I too broke my fstab!! After adding init=/bin/sh to the cmdline.txt, this was the only advice...

Hi, I might be a bit late to this discussion but I wanted to add my 2 cents. Apple's HomeKit requires the connected devices to be "HomeKit enabled".
