Damaged Pi

Hi all, not sure where to post this.

I accidentally snapped off the pot that sits behind the power socket.

It still works, but not sure what it does, advice appreciated.

Re: MCE Remote

Thanks Millhouse the Ortek did not work for me but managed to get it going with Chinavision, needs some mapping so will check out the other post.

What needs to happen for it to work on Raspbmc?

Thanks again

One of them I use with a Harmony One remote (so I just needed the IR receiver) on x86/OpenELEC, and another I have tested with XBMC (raspbmc) and OpenELEC on a Pi - all worked fine. Hi there, wonder if you can hep with g...

Re: what keyboard to use

If the Pi boots to Login when NO keyboard connected then it would appear, chances are, it doesn't like (technical term :) ) the keyboard. Worked for me :D

Re: what keyboard to use

Thanks Mahjongg for the reply, whilst I do not doubt your comments they are way above my head! It was much quicker to try another keyboard, am now using a Logitech MK120 with mouse set. It went first time, logged in, xstart and I had my desktop. So was very happy it was an open box deal at £13.99 fr...

Re: what keyboard to use

PC World (UK) essentials keyboard and mouse £9.99 does NOT work for me.

Boots to login without keyboard, mouse seems OK. Keyboard is only 50mA and works on another PC.

So it would seem a little Hit & Miss :?

Think I will try a Trust.

Cheers

Alan
