[Tight VNC Server] Controlling the Original?

Hey! I'm not sure how VNC usually operates. But I got the idea of "controlling" the current PI X desktop, not starting a 2nd one to control? Or is that something we have to do because the PI wouldn't be able to send image of the current actual desktop? Could someone explain to me why I get a "new" d...

[RetroPie] Emulationstation

Hey! I'm quite new to Raspberry Pi in general, and I'm not sure how do solve this problem. I'd like to use my current setup of RetroPie with 2 controllers. One classic 8-bit Nintendo and one classic Super-Nintendo controller. When I start from a clean state both controllers can be used in Emulations...

[RetroPie] Emulationstation runs slow on B+ but not on B

Hello! I've got two PIs, one old with 2 usb slots and one new with 4 usb slots. I tried installing RetroPie on the new one with 4 USBS, but it doesn't run RetroPie as smooth as on my old one. Even Nintendo games "lags" and the sound gets all choppy because of it. Any ideas what might have caused this?

[Raspbmc] Already have NOOBS

Hello!

How can I add Raspbmc (or any XBMC) if I already got NOOBS and didn't pick more than 1 OS?

Re: [Terminal Commands] How does StartX work?

Thanks guys, really helpful. One thing I'm missing though is the automatic boot in RetroPie. Or for the same thing StartX if enabled autoboot in raspi-config. How can I find out what command is issued to boot? If I want for example "StartSomethingElse" to be sent automatically in boot, is there a wa...

[Terminal Commands] How does StartX work?

Hello! I'm curious, how does startx work? When I boot my Pi and want to enter the desktop GUI, I type "startx", or use the raspi-config and set it to automatically boot in desktop mode. BUT where does the startx command come from? How could I find out that it was startx I was supposed to write to ge...

Re: [RetroPie] Controller problem

[Solved. Somewhat] I ended up writing down the input numbers i got fron jstest. Then I added those numbers to the retroarch.cfg (removed the # at the joystick and d-pad inputs). Still, if anyone knows how I can re-enter the RetroArch emulation software after exiting to the console terminal, it would...

[RetroPie] Controller problem

Hi! I'm a total beginner with my Raspberry Pi. I got the old model with 2 usb connections. I've tried lots of things already, and the last one I'm currently trying to get working is RetroPie. Well, I got it kind of working, but I'm stuck at not beeing able to use my USB gamepad. The keyboard works f...
