Re: Guide: Chromium 51 on Raspbian Jessie

I found I get a system freeze when the swapfile maxes out, needing a power cycle to get the Pi back up. I increased the swapfile size and regularly stop/start the swapfile when needed (running top in a terminal to monitor it) I bumped swap up to a 1G. I'll keep an eye on it for a few days and see h...

Re: Guide: Chromium 51 on Raspbian Jessie

Hello, Thank you for posting this guide. I just stood up a RPi2 with Jessie, fully patched to the latest levels. I added the Chromium browser per this thread. For the most part works great. Much better than the way I had been doing things. I have several plasma TV's that display different pages of d...

Re: dhcpcd causing problems

Hello everyone, Sorry for not getting back to this post sooner. I finally figured out what this issue was, openresolv. openresolv was dynamically updating the /etc/resolv.conf file. No matter what I did to set the /etc/resolvconf.conf file, the /etc/resolv.conf was just getting jacked up. I finally ...

dhcpcd causing problems

I just upgraded two of my pi's to from Wheezy to Jessie. All of my pi's use static IP addresses. Previously, to set a static IP I modified /etc/network/interfaces, but I am finding that is no longer the proper way to setup the IP address. I have now learned that I need to setup the static IP informa...

Thanks. We must have posted at the same time.

I didn't even notice Jessie-lite the first time that I looked at the download page, I just grabbed the first image that I saw.

Thanks for the reply.

Re: Installing Jessie on a 4GB card

Maybe never mind on this post. I went back and looked at the download for Jessie and just now saw Jessie-lite. I'm going to give that a try. I think that might work for my needs.

Thank you.

Installing Jessie on a 4GB card

I just downloaded Jessie today and tried to install it on a 4GB card only to find out that it is to small. After a bit of research, I learned that a person needs an 8GB to install Jessie. It appears that legacy Wheezy apps were left in making Jessie to large for a 4GB card. I was wondering if there ...

Upgrade from Wheezy to Jessie

Can I upgrade from Wheezy to Jessie? If so, how is the easiest way to do it? I followed the procedures in this article: https://www.raspberrypi.org/documentation/raspbian/updating.md , but all that did was bring Wheezy up-to-date. Is there a way to actually update from Wheezy to Jessie? Thanks Daryl

Spam Filtering

Has anyone setup a Pi to be a spam filter? If so, is there any documentation online that I can follow?

Thanks

Daryl
