Re: connecting Bluetooth audio with ubuntu issue

I have raspberry pi 4 with ubuntu 20.04 server. I installed desktop environment and Pi-bluetooth on it. I can detect and pair with bluetooth device. but cannot connect them. How to fix this? https://1drv.ms/u/s!Ah0YI_CZTfbxnWws8hGNt-55-udL?e=67g5ga It won't 'fix' your problem, but for troubleshooti...

Re: 2 Dead Raspberry Pi 4's on PoE

Hello, It would seem that I've managed to kill two Raspberry Pi 4's in a short period of time. I was trying to set one up as an internet gateway powering it with a PoE HAT from Waveshare. It seemed to work fine. I was using Ubuntu as the operating system and that was running without any issues. But...

Re: Create .csv file

Lewmur is right : you have to open the file in append mode instead of write. Opening in write mode overwrites the content of the file. It meets the user's requirements. No. The user requirement is every time I run the program, a new .csv file is generated . Get that? "how do I so that, every t...

If you are looking for a Code of Conduct I'm sure there is one somewhere. Personally I hate them, I find them insulting. Anyway hardly necessary just "be polite" should cover it all. My fellow volunteer helper may be thinking of thIs: https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=63&...

Hello everybody. I tell you that I am quite new to programming in Python. I am trying to generate .csv files with python to which I am adding data (below I leave the part of the code that creates the file). The problem I have is that every time I run the program a new file is created with the same ...

You have to open the file as "append" instead of "write".
That doesn't meet the user's requirement: " so that, every time I run the program, a new .csv file is generated without losing the previous one?"

Thank you, that is now working. One further question, what I would like to do is to use one RPi to monitor a micro switch which when triggered can message the other RPi wirelessly to start it's picamera to record video for a period of time. For my limited experience I suspect the easiest way to do ...

I would like to also start this script after turn on my raspberry pi 3B. Obviously you need to solve the problem of creating a script to meet your needs first, but then refer to - https://www.raspberrypi.org/documentation/linux/usage/systemd.md Or provide it with a trivial gui and use the method yo...

It would provide a sound basis for advice if you were to specify what model of RPi board is involved, and what Operating System it is running.

Hello. Let's say we have the following in Python: Function 1: Turns on LED Function 2: Turns on buzzer Function 3: Turns on motor Would it be possible to wrap all three functions into one function and have them run at the same time? I couldn't run pigpiod

One trivial way is to use the corresponding option in the raspi-config utility, or the GUI Desktop equivalent. Interface Options / Remote GPIO.

Or from a shell (CLI/Terminal) prompt -

Code: Select all

sudo pigpiod

Re: Set static ip on raspberry pi 2B

Now /etc/network/interfaces is all commentated There are not results I believe that in the version of that file installed by default with the RasPiOS Buster Operating System there is a line that is still active ( = NOT commented out ) (This might or might not be significant in exploring your issue.)

What I don't understand is why the .py code works with some IDE as Thonny and Idle and not from other like Mu and Geany which both return error about importing modules Because, in very general terms, external modules are installed for use with/by a specific instance of a python interpreter.
