Re: Watterott RPI display and OSMC

The display works with OSMC/Raspbmc and you can use the installation script to get it working. The speed is also fast enough to show videos . Installation steps: $ wget -N https://github.com/watterott/RPi-Display/raw/master/rpi-display.sh $ sudo /bin/bash rpi-display.sh 270 Note: No FBTFT found. Upd...

Re: Raspberry Pi 2 Model B 1GB Display

The RPi-Display works also with the RPi 1 model B+ or RPi 2 model B. But you need a stacking header.
A connection with a flat cable is not possible because then every 2nd pin is swapped.

Re: Watterott 8x8 working

Hi, I found a solution. The problem seems to appear if the I2C interrupts can not be executed fast enough on the ATtiny85. I have now disabled the timer interrupts in the I2C-Slave example and on my RPi 2 (I2C @ 400kHz) the communication works without the IOError errors. https://github.com/watterott...

Re: Watterott 8x8 working

Hi, I also had the IOError problems, and lowering the I2C baudrate (<= 20kHz) fixed it. In the mean time I read about the I2C clock stretching problem and I think it has to do something with it. Currently I am looking into it and I will try to make workaround for the ATtiny85 Arduino lib. Here are s...

Re: Picking a TFT to work with a RetroPie Project?

Does your spi_bcm2708 module has DMA support?
You can check it with

Code: Select all

modinfo -F parm spi_bcm2708
If not then you can use our script for updating:

Re: Need additional GPIO Ports

The display does not use I2C. There are only pads on the PCB to connect something to the I2C bus.

The Prototyping HAT without EEPROM is currently out of stock, but the version with EEPROM is in stock:
