Re: Raspberry + Tinkerforge bricks

@MegaGumbo
I'm running a collection of bricks (2 master bricks, a IO-16 bricklet and 7 analog in bricklets) just fine from the raspberry pi power supply and controlling 3 relays at the same time. No hub needed. Rpi is powered with a simple 700 mA wallwart power supply.

Re: Raspberry + Tinkerforge bricks

My usual languages (Perl/PHP*) weren't supported yet so I decided to do my program in Python. Which actually turned out pretty well. I had a web service running to control the bricks very quickly. * PHP is now supported by Tinkerforge, but controlling things via the web service is actually a much be...

Re: Garage Door opener via phone dial?

I don't like the touch tone interface. It's just to clunky and 20th century IMHO. I built a garage door remote (not with a raspi but with a flyport wifi microcontroller). I can read the status of the door (open/closed/somewhere in between) via a web page (optimized for andoid, protected with SSL and...

Raspberry + Tinkerforge bricks

I just received my Raspi from Farnell this week and the first thing I tried was controlling my Tinkerforge bricks hardware project with it (it's normally connected to my Linux fileserver). The Tinkerforge bricks are a modular hardware kit that is controlled and powered via USB (bypassing the GPIO st...

Re: There's a little update from Eben on the front page...

<t>I actually just dreamed I ordered one. I'm sick at home with a fever so I sleep a lot. It started with a cryptic hint by someone on the forum. So I went and clicked on the shop. There it was. I clicked on it, eager to order. But I had to read lots of stuff first. Then you guys made me play a game...

Re: Easy GPIO Hardware & Software

<r>Couldn't this all be accomplished very easily by adding a Tinkerforge master brick over usb and adding some bricklets to sense and control things?<br/> <br/> <URL url="http://www.tinkerforge.com/">http://www.tinkerforge.com/</URL><br/> <br/> This is what I intend to do when (if!) I get my Rpi.<br...
