Re: [Tutorial] Show RPI's Temperature with a command.

Thanks for that sprinkmeier I'm rather new to Python so the string/number handling code was from earlier in this thread rather than creating my own. Your code neatens it up a lot :) import time import MySQLdb import subprocess #pull cpu temp temp_str = subprocess.check_output(('/opt/vc/bin/vcgencmd'...

Re: [Tutorial] Show RPI's Temperature with a command.

I know this post is a bit old but it's the first result on google for Raspberry Pi CPU temp so I thought this would be the place to post it. Below is a python script based off m0rgo's post but injects the data into a mysql database, handy to monitor Pi temp over time or just because you like data :D...

Wolfson Audio Card Problems

I purchased a Wolfson Audio card for my Raspberry Pi about 6 months ago and have just gotten around to hooking it up but it appears the card is not being detected by the system. I have downloaded the SD image from element14 and loaded it onto the Pi. Card is connected and lights up so appears to be ...

XBMC whole house audio & Spa TV project

Have been working on a whole house audio project over the last few weeks which is finally coming together and have now started on the second half of the project. Installing a 17" monitor at the foot of the spa bath. Currently running two Raspberry Pi's with OpenELEC. One for the bathroom screen and ...

Re: Hidden/Sneaky Cases

There's any number of possibilities strewn around my living room. An A/V receiver. Its speakers. Another computer (in particular, I've kicked around the idea of building a Pi into a DVD-ROM drive casing, including a slot-loading laptop DVD drive so it remains apparently functional). A clock. In a 5...

Re: X10 control

I recently received my Raspberry Pi and am looking to use it for home automation.

I'm just wondering if anybody has tried the Rasp Pi with the CM19 X10 USB module with any success?
