Re: USB audio distortion

Is this USB sound card working ok in openelec xbmc? I need to get optical sound to my home cinema amp. Does it run ok directly plugged into the pi? It uses the usb-sound module which worked out of the box in Debian with the latest 'firmware', and with the config file added the sound is clear. I hav...

Re: kernel patch for Dallas 1-wire interface

I also have a couple of DS18B20, but a bit unsure about how to hook them up?
http://datasheets.maxim-ic.com/en/ds/DS18B20.pdf
Leg 1 -> gnd
Leg 2 -> gpio 4
Leg 3 -> 3v3 or 5v0?

Thanks!

So I went and bought a http://www.terratec.net/en/products/Aureon_Dual_USB_9842.html Problem is, when using "mpg123" the sound is _really_ d...

Re: SPDIF?

Hmm.. It feels like the actual discussion here went a bit off topic. I would like a digital out. I'm a software dude and have small knowledge of hardware. But the coaxial spdif is ... a shield and one serial information cable? Go ahead and laugh at me, but is it possible to do it somewhat like this ...

Just placed my order.

So glad when I saw the mail, thought it was available for immediate dispatch, so disappointed at checkout when it said "within 3 weeks" :(
