Both omxplayer and VLC work fine (after manual compilation), the latter also has a web UI and thus can be remote controlled via browser/app. Would be great if they would be available in a repository (Raspbian?) though.

Terminal video player with ALSA output

Hi,
I am looking for an hardware accelerated video player for the command line which outputs audio to ALSA. I know and have used omxplayer, but it can only output audio over HDMI/headphone jack. Does such a player exist?
