Problem here is that "sudo hamachi login" gives "failed error". Any ideas?

Re: XTide and font error

Figured it out! It was Xming that wanted the fonts installed on my windows computer, not on the raspberry pi. So I just had to download the fonts here <http://www.straightrunning.com/XmingNotes/>.
Works now!

Re: XTide and font error

Same problem here. It is asking for -misc-fixed-medium-r-normal--13-100-100-100-c-70-iso8859-1. Looks like I get to learn about fonts now.

Re: How do I create an image of the RPI already installed.

I don't have a reason to do them separately (sdc1, sdc2, sdc3). I think it has to be done this way. But to be honest I didn't try it as "dd /dev/sdc /dev/sdd". Do you think it would work that way?

Re: How do I create an image of the RPI already installed.

Yes! Sweet Success! I now have a bootable backup of my SD Card. sdc is an unmounted usb drive with more memory than sdd which is the SD Card I'm copying from. Entered the following as su: dd bs=512 count=1 if=/dev/sdd of=/dev/sdc/rpimbr.img dd if=/dev/sdd1 of=/dev/sdc/rpi1.img dd if=/dev/sdd2 of=/de...

Re: How do I create an image of the RPI already installed.

When I pop in an SD card the OS puts up a msg with a bunch of stuff including sdc, sdd, etc. I verified it by checking the dev directory. So I think I have that part right.

Re: How do I create an image of the RPI already installed.

I created a Debian boot disk from a usb stick plugged into my laptop. I pulled the SD card out of the pi, and put it in my laptop's card reader. Saw that the SD card is "sdc" at "/dev/sdc". Ran: dd fi=/dev/sdc fo=/dev/rpiback.img At some point I saw that it worked, by mounting the file system I coul...

Re: How do I create an image of the RPI already installed.

Ugh, trying to use win32diskimager to read my working RPi SD card as a backup. Everything goes well until the 58% finished point when this error pops up "An error occurred when attempting to read from handle. Error1117: The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error." I've tried r...

Re: Xastir APRS with Arch.

Can't get apt-get install xastir to work on raspbian. Says package not available. What's going on with that?

Also have another sd card with arch installed. No luck with xastir there either.

Re: D-Link DWA-131 // Help Please

okay, my card is working with the "r8712u" driver that I can see from an lsmod command. I'm not using the 8192cu at all. The only thing I had to do was change /etc/network/resources as described in this thread: http://www.raspberrypi.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=12472&p=134160&hilit=wlan0+interfa...

Re: D-Link DWA-131 // Help Please

Same boat here. I managed to get the driver from realtek (8192cu.ko) from their website, unzip it, and put it in /lib/modules/3.1.9+/kernel/drivers/net/wireless/rtl819x/rtl8192. I made the last two directories because there was already a similar rtlxxxx directory and driver in that location. Now try...
