Will this work?

raspistill -ex night

It's from the RaspiCam Documentation under Exposure options.
I tried it but doesn't seem to work.

Re: 2 camera boards for one RPi

How about an IC switch that has one port in and 2 ports out? This would give isolation between the cameras. But, I don't know if such an animal exists for a high speed data transfer, or enough wires for the ports.

Re: Firefox only

Well, it don't work on Windows 7 Starter, IE 11. Bing comes up and says No results found and more, blah, blah, blah. And then "sent the address to us".

Firefox only

I followed tutorial for Pi-Cam here.

http://rbnrpi.wordpress.com/project-lis ... etect-cam/ It works very good.

It seems my setup only likes Firefox to access the camera. Why?

Re: Issue with getting camera to work

I have read only part of the posts about "Issue with getting camera to work". I think this camera install procedure with motion is very good and understandable. http://rbnrpi.wordpress.com/project-list/setting-up-wireless-motion-detect-cam/ Start off right from the beginning, installing the latest W...

Outside my room and in the cloud is a whole different world. Good thing it's a bit harder, for everyone would be clobbered. Thanks, Dougie for opening more doors for me. I've still got much more to learn.

Netgear Router DynDNS

I have a Netgear wireless router WGR614 v7. It supports Dynamic DNS only if you use DynDNS which is not free anymore. I heard about D-Link DDNS. If one gets an account, and is free, it will link to DynDNS. I did just that and obtained a dynamic DNS. My questioin is will the Netgear router support th...

It want get a DNS to experiment with my RPi and Pi camera to login remotely. I can do so locally here at home, I want to try so on the Network, too. Who would I look for tha...

Re: motion

No signs of your motion server running and listening on any TCP/IP ports. I re-worked motion.conf file found some errors that I caused, but there is a bit of ambiguity in it. Now, from a Linux box, I type http://192.168.0.105:8090 And I get about a half grey screen on black background saying Unable...

Re: live camera

The obvious is right front of me! To turn on the camera for live video mode, send this.

Code: Select all

raspistill -v -t 9999999
The camera will be on for 2 hours + ! Not a good idea, just lower the big number.

raspistill is for still shots Thanks, I'm getting more ideas from what you said. I'm realizing the camera can be used in so many ways, so there are lots of solutions. Re: live camera

You need to run raspistill on the Pi, and mplayer or similar on the desktop Mini system. From your post you appear to be running mplayer on the Pi - that won't work. I thought raspistill is for still shots. Anyway, forget my first question. I want to aim the camera at a bird feeder and look at live...
