Re: Cheapest power solution

You could try the charger from aliexpress, but not sure about the quality.

Beware: a broken power supply can damage Pi!

It isn't a good idea to deliver 5V via long cables.

Code: Select all

while (infinity_isnt_over) {
    if (voltage_is_falling) {
        start_generator();
    }

Re: OpenWRT on Pi3 or Alternative?

You could use LEDE release:
https://downloads.lede-project.org/rele ... 8/bcm2710/
(LEDE is OpenWRT fork and it looks promising)

Or you could use Raspbian or any other linux distributive for pi3.

P.S. not sure about Alfa Network card support in OpenWRT/LEDE

Re: OpenVPN performance degrades over time

Execute some commands on the "broken" system to check what is happening:

Code: Select all

df -h

Code: Select all

w

Code: Select all

ifconfig; sleep 10; ifconfig

Code: Select all

wget --output-document=/dev/null https://cdn.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/v4.x/linux-4.10.tar.xz

Code: Select all

dmesg | tail -n 30
Publish the output here if you don't know how to interpret it.

никакой защиты на gpio нет, это выводы процессора, так что пожечь его статикой или неправильным напряжением легко.

Re: Air Pressure comtroller

There is low-cost ABP series from Honeywell, we use ABPLANT005PG2A3 sensor: http://www.tme.eu/en/details/abplant005pg2a3/pressure-sensors/honeywell/ It works great and it is priced reasonably. If you want cheaper solution you can look at Bosch BMP085/180/280. But they are absolute pressure sensors, ...

Re: Unable to bring CAN interface up on RPi 3

With proper wiring and DT overlay can0 should appear automatically.
IMHO your problem is in wiring.

In kernel version 4.8 mcp251x driver will be more talkative, it should help to debug such cases.

Re: Doing CAN using mcp2510

I think there is something wrong with your device tree overlay.
Try to use mcp2515-can0-overlay.dts from current kernel
https://github.com/raspberrypi/linux/bl ... verlay.dts
(you need to replace mcp2515 with mcp2510 on line 58)

тут есть немного про питание USB:
http://hackaday.com/2015/04/06/more-pow ... usb-ports/
эти ap2253 достаточно часто горят, так что ИМХО начать с их проверки.

и не понял, вы lan9514 выпаивали? это usb hub.

It seems to be caused by different settings (like bitrate) or some hardware issue.

Try to create low signal condition.
Maybe big steel pot could help, I'm not sure ;)

If you use external antenna, try to remove it. In my experience detached/broken antenna could produce a lot of problems with electronics.
