Re: PWM outputs

I think this is not the answer I was looking for.

The question is how can I tell the audio to use PWM-1 and my LED should use PWM-2?

Re: PWM outputs

When you use the PIGPIO lib you can obtain a very stable PWM signal from GPIO-18.
On the PI 3 there are 2 hardware PWM's connected to GPIO18 and 19.

I'm currently looking for the statement to select which PWM output/generator to use.

Re: Pigpio

Why? There are 2 HW PWM's in the PI-3
GPIO18 and GPIO19.

I also can't understand why some folks say there is HW PWM on all 32 pins.

Please explain.

Pigpio

I'm using the pigpio lib for generating a PWM signal. So far it works great, But I also use the Audio output of this PI 3 . When I listen to this audio I hear the PWM frequency loud and clear. I know the PI has 2 HP PWM generators. How can I select these generators in order to use them seperated for...

Good set

Thanks a lot for this article! Everything works perfect. To be save I removed the 2 pull-up resistors on the scl and sda lines on the I2C board. The Raspberry has already build-in these pull-ups. And by removing them the Raspberry will never will receive 5 volt from the pull-ups on the I2C board. Wim

Re: Serial port input.

Nice clean wave form. I just finnished my home build rotary encoder build from old mouse parts. This because I did not like the chinese mechanical cheap stuff. Optical was better and with a 74ls14 in between even more better. I hope you understand where I 'm talking about.

Thanks!

But even there is no way to check if something came in.

Or do I overlook it maybe?

Serial port input.

Serial port on pin 8 and 10 is working on my Pi-3. Question, how do I check if there is data available on the input? I can't find anything like serial.available in Python. Data comes in very irregular so I can't wait until this happens. The best would be an interrupt driven response if data comes in...

Did you try it with an interval of 3 seconds? Not waiting till the next song?

Ok, sorry, I did not read carefully I think.
Well, can you try to do a : mpc play 1 and after 5 second once more en maybe again once more?

Re: MPC hangs after selecting the same station

The mpc.conf you sent had the ASLA enabled?
I thought you enabled the pulse audio device.

Why do you think I have a different issue?

In fact the problem is not that bad. I just have to watch I do not send the play command twice with the same index.
I can easely buid this into my Python script.

Yes, I got the timeout as well.

Can you tell me more what you did to use the ALSA solution?

Thanks so far.

MPC hangs after selecting the same station

When I do a " mpc play 1 " all is fine. Also selection a different station gives no problems. But when I select the playing station twice it hangs. So when I enter 2 times "mdc play 2" it hangs. A ps -ef | grep mcd shows that 2 instances of mpd are running. To solve this problem ...

Re: SHT75 error from sht

Extra info. I hooked up my digital scope in single shot mode, I did not see any clock pulse on pin 16 ( GPIO-23) when I type : sudo sht -t 23 24 I also did some tests with the gpio utility. gpio -g mode 22 output gpio -g write 22 1/0 gpio readall All looks good. No broken in/outputs. Can switch them...

I use the library from https://pypi.python.org/pypi/sht-sensor/15.5.0 I got the following errors when I type: sudo sht -t 23 24 Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/local/bin/sht", line 9, in <module> load_entry_point('sht-sensor==15.10.1', 'console_scripts', 'sht')() File "/...

Use any GPIO you want. "GPIO numbers (to which SCK and DATA sensor pins are connected) must be specified either on command-line (for cli tool) or on class init (when using as a python module). Example, for SCK connected to gpio 21 and DATA to gpio 17:" Thanks for the quick answer, I was j...

SHT75

I just have a question. I need to interface a SHT75 to my RPi For this I used the example from Mike Kazantsev. http://github.com/mk-fg/sht-sensor I just wonder why they use the GPIO pin numbers 17 and 21. Are these special pins? They are not close to each other on the header either. Why not just 2 a...
