Re: Isolator circuitry

Thanks, I was looking at the 6N137 and they seem to be a good fit as you said. Slight inconvenience that they are inverting however, I'm sure I could just swap the anode/cathode and have one side go to 3.3V through a current limiting resistor. In case anyone else was wondering, there are some very h...

Isolator circuitry

Hi, I'm currently using the pi to program a microcontroller and I want to keep both the pi and microcontroller isolated from the rest of my circuit. I was hoping to use some opto-isolators however I am having trouble finding any that will work. I need one that will work off of 9mA with a Bandwidth o...

Re: GPIO Data transmission

I've decided I will use the Teensy 3.0 or 3.1 and I'd like to know if it's possible to use raspbian to bootload it via SSH. I understand there is a reset button and I would plan on having a relay or some manner of switching it remotely. Would the command line Teensy loader work or would I have issue...

Re: GPIO Data transmission

I shouldn't have a problem finding a microcontroller that will do what I need it to, however how would I set up the pi in order to program the microcontroller given that most bootloaders aren't designed for linux OS

Re: GPIO Data transmission

The goal is to be able to alter a program of a device without having physical access to it, that's why the pi seemed like a no brainer given that you can SSH to it. My next question is can the pi be used as an interface to program a microcontroller that is capable of multiple PWM at a high frequency...

Re: GPIO Data transmission

I realize that there is a hardware PWM on one pin of the raspberry pi, however I am curious if it is possible to run multiple software PWMs using something like the wiringpi or bcm2835 libraries at approximately 3 MHz. I need to have six separately driven pins that are all at the same speed.

GPIO Data transmission

I have recently started creating a transmitter circuit and I was wondering if it is possible to have six individual outputs driven independently at a rate of 3 MHz. The goal is to have a digital modulation scheme that has a base clock of 3 MHz. Also, to do this is it necessary to have an RTOS runnin...
