Re: Possible bug in RPi Mathematica?

Okay, well I didn't get it throwing "PolyhedronData[" or ("PolyhedronData [") into a blank notebook, nor in the Wolfram command line. Maybe it's your variables? Try playing around with ClearAll and trying it in a new notebook? Maybe it's hardware? Is your RAM full? Do you have enough milliamps runni...

Re: Possible bug in RPi Mathematica?

Can you please post exactly what I can ctrl-v into mathematica to replicate your error?

Also, is this in Mathematica notebook, or does it happen in Wolfram command line also?

Thanks.

Re: Mathematica license terms

From my discussions with Wolfram, it's more what they DON'T want you to do: 1) Using it for government work (they specifically told me I couldn't use a pi for this - this would require a government license) 2) Selling a product that was in some way developed using Mathematica (this would require a c...

Re: Parallelization

From the link you gave it says: "To add kernels through Lightweight Grid, first install gridMathematica with Lightweight Grid on the computers you want to use." It seems ot me that the Mathematica on the RPi is stripped down (no offline manual - no parallel processing) and I get the feeling that Wol...

Re: No startx over ssh conection

I just finished setting this up, its called a VNC connection if you want to view the desktop of the Pi on another computer over a network.

Basically google "VNC Rasberry Pi" - But you should probably start here: http://elinux.org/RPi_VNC_Server

Re: Can't install SAMBA, is it missing from repositories?

That is exactly what it was. I needed to do sudo apt-get update I also did the upgrade too. OMG I am immediately and completely sick of Windows installations - "You mean I have to check for my own updates?! Like some kind of peasant!" Is that an EVE avatar? I occasionally play, but usually as a Drak...

Can't install SAMBA, is it missing from repositories?

So I tried this: pi@raspberrypi ~ $ sudo apt-get install samba and got this: Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... Done The following packages were automatically installed and are no longer required: libvncserver0 tcl tk x11vnc-data Use 'apt-get autoremo...

Re: TightVNC Problems #5905943

So I got it working. After uninstalling (using sudo apt-get purge) Tight VNC, deleting my boot script, reinstalling TightVNC, installing x11vnc, and then uninstalling x11vnc, and then rebooting (in that order) - I then tried using 192.168.1.122::5900 and I got a login and a screen. The screen was j ...

Re: TightVNC Problems #5905943

Thanks guys, but the 192.168.1.222:5901 (or 192.168.1.222::5901 or 192.168.1.222::1 or 192.168.1.222:1) isn't working either.

TightVNC Problems #5905943

First post on the forums, hopefully this will not be a chore to read or respond to. Problem: TightVNC View running on Windows 7 says: "Error in TightVNC Viewer: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it." Things I have done: 1) Installed Rasbian from noobs on my RPi ...
