Re: What prior knowledge is assumed other than Java?

Wiring is easy. Just buy a Yun And you have Python and some C C++. I have model B 512 and two Pi+. The Arduino Yun was very simple to set up and now every device is Wifi enabled. The Raspberry PI s Each has it own key board and mouse all wifi. So Yun, can be programmed in either language and Pi can ...

Re: Windows 8 problems

I have gone out and bought an Apple Mac after two years of Arduino problems with windows 8. Then it did not want to know Raspberry or formatter etc. So as Windows is pushing 8 and 8.1 now 8.1.1 with windows 9 waiting as 8.1.1 is not a real up date/grade just forget Windows.

Re: JArduino

I have two Pi+'s and the Yun. Which has the Pi Library installed or parts of it is wifi enabled and I have managed to program it from my computer in the living room while the Yun is upstairs. I can connect the Pi+ to it and program, Pi or let Pi program Arduino Yun . Is that not easier? ;)

My question is do I break the sealed packet and insert the card? And hope instructions jump out at me? I ...

Re: Schematics for B+

Some B's did have the pin compatible 4 port chip in place of the two port due to supply issues of the latter. That's not the issue with the USB not working on some devices with older firmwares. I'm not sure what is though. Whatever, just sudu rpi-update in the old B when installing an old SD card i...

Video (HDMI and VGA) connectors on laptops are usually OUTPUTS. You can't simply assume that they will also function as INPUTS: this is unlikely to work... I never assume ...but with 3x USB ports they are outputs to my arduino and also inputs, so why not to a Pi. if I can up load to my browser from...

We don't have enough information in this thread to work with, but I did spot your rant in another thread where you said that you were powering it with a 0.7A phone charger. Try using a proper power supply to power it with instead, preferably rated at 5V 1A if you have a Model B. A higher current ra...
