Re: Ethernet doesn't work on startup

Unfortunately I'm having real problems replicating the issue I had last night. Booted straight into Pidora with no problems, eth0 all ready to go. I've mashed around on the keyboard and mouse wondering if I was overloading the USB ports or something last night but nothing. I've had a constant...

Re: Ethernet doesn't work on startup

Just chiming in to say that I've actually got a similar problem on an old unused Raspberry Pi B I dug out, except my connection continues to drop. I'm not hijacking your thread here, sch.bar but I think we may be in the same boat. It happened to me on OpenELEC and Pidora, I'm going to try Raspbian a...

Re: Flight Hardware Tech Specs

Nice! Thanks for the info. I don't actually have any projects in mind, I was hoping the API could give me some ideas. I'm slightly too far out of the age range for Tim's mission unfortunately, which is a shame because I was one of the 20 who named it! If there's a future for AstroPi beyond this comp...

Yeah I thought of that, unfortunately I'd lose either the micro USB port or the ethernet port.

Almost! That's the kind of stacking I'm looking to achieve, but my main problem is trying to find some kind of arrangement that keeps the peripherals nice and close too.

Any ETA on when the API documentation will be available?

What does your Multi-Pi Desktop Setup Look Like?

I'm basically looking for some inspiration on my own setup here, but I'm having trouble working out how to keep everything nice and compact on my desk. If anyone wants to share pictures of their setup, I'd be very grateful. It's hard to really collate this sort of material over constant searches and...

Re: I need to power 6 Pi's, what would work with my setup?

Fantastic, looks like a great piece of equipment. Very tidy too. For future reference, what exactly am I looking out for in terms of specs for a power supply? This one in particular is 40W, which means if there were enough ports it would be able to handle....10 Pis? I'm assuming Pis don't go higher ...

Re: I need to power 6 Pi's, what would work with my setup?

Thanks for the advice all! I'm looking for as compact a solution as possible, so in theory the PiHub sounds like a great solution, but the positioning of the USB ports could be a little bit awkward for cable management. Would something like this suffice?: D-Link DUB-H7 7 - Port USB 2.0 Hub External ...

I need to power 6 Pi's, what would work with my setup?

Hi Raspberry Pi users! I'm about to take my first step into the world of Pi, but it'll be more like a giant leap. I'll be buying 4 Pi's and running them as personal servers for experimentation and playing around with. I'll actually be expanding to 6 and then 8 in the future, but don't worry too much...
