Re: Unable to install xorg-server

Looks like the MD5 sum was wrong. I now know why as well, cause my brother has been messing about with the firewall on the router, so I had to "bypass" it and its all ok.

Re: Rasberry pi won't boot.

So is the screen saying "No Signal"? If you have got any peripherals plug into it then unplug them and try to boot.

Re: Unable to install xorg-server

I don't suppose someone has an older version of that package in their pacman cache folder they are willing to share?

Re: Unable to install xorg-server

Yes all my mirrors are up to date. I have edited the mirror list as well so it will download the packages from a different source, but it still has the same problem.

It's a shame the Pi doesn't come with a LVDS connector as you can pick up this screen for £16.59 delivered. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1507.....314wt_1114

Re: First comparison of the available distros running on a Pi

Re: LXDE or XFCE ?

LXDE should be lighter on system resources so it would most likely be better to go for that as resources are at a premium. XFCE does have more feature, but I don't think that will really matter on the Pi.

Personally I might just use a windows manager, such as openbox.
