Re: Sending bits to a computer via USB from Rpi

Hi @topguy, I linked up sensors to the rpi and what it needs to do is as soon as any event occurs, it needs to send a signal to the computer right away. Now the only thing I need to do is to send it over to the PC via USB, as wifi or any networking would not be reliable. Could you please elaborate ...

Re: Raspbian screen freezes when it appears

(finally getting back to this after multi-month distraction) You're correct, the SD card is actually 16GB. Still having the screen freeze problem, right after the PIXEL background screen with the road appears. The system does not respond to the mouse, arrow keys, or other keyboard strokes so far as...

I am now trying to use etcher to burn the downloaded zip file of stretch lite, but after about 10% I get an error. I haven't tried just using the zip file without extracting before, so I was hoping it would work. "invalid literal/length code at Zlib._handle.onerror (zlib.js:355:17)" Etcher both unz...

This is in accessories of PI. How does it work? I want to copy from 1 SD to another. Do I need 2 PIs working at same time for this?

You need a USB SDHC Card Reader.

sure, but there should be because there are some really important differences. For instance, if you have a laptop then laptop-mode-tools/powertop is a better utility for raspbian compared to tlp because tlp depends on regular debian network manager... These are actually really important differences...

Hello! I'm sorry if this has been asked before but I haven't been able to find anything that has helped me answer this question. First and foremost, no, I am NOT using NOOBS. I have a 32GB SD card with only OSMC installed on my Pi. However I am now thinking I'd like to dualboot my exisiting OSMC in...

Re: Broadcom BCM2835 Power Saving

Something to help the OP understand the situation... The SoCs on Pis are really GPUs with small ARM CPUs "bolted on". The ARM part of the chip is a very small portion of the Silicon. To take an example...the memory controller is part of the GPU. That's why the RAM limit for a Pi si 1GB. That's all ...

If the compute module is so flexible and can have any I/O board, is there something you can put onto the board to boost it?

No, it is what it is, the CM3 has the same SoC as a RPi 3B..

Maybe you need a x86 CPU SBC ??

Actually with Jessie it's enough just to: sudo apt install synergy sudo nano ~/.config/lxsession/LXDE-pi/autostart and add this: @synergyc 192.168.xxx.xxx <- replace your synergy server ip address here and reboot. Jessie / Pixel are both obsoleted and you are responding to a year old post. Anyway R...
