Re: Arch Linux on Pi3 refusing to boot unless hdmi connected

Not sure if correct place to post, but if anyone else trying arch headless on a pi3 and they have just done an upgrade, that is what it is... mind boggling... they obviously don't do any testing of common use cases (i.e. running arch headless) can you use arch on a product? in my opinion no! what a...

Re: Debian 10 only mono sound instead stereo (analog)

May be. But Raspberry pi os is officially unsupported by HomeAssistant. And I had some troubles with it, because trying debian. I suggest that udev incorrect detect sound card and set profile. But I have driver snd_bcm2835. If I disable mono sound profile in pulse audio (workaround) I got stereo so...

I think your SD card as died.
Nothing to do with the 64-bit OS.
Try a new Sandisk A1 class card (say 32 or 64 GB), they are cheap, fast, and reliable.

Re: Raspberry PI OS 64-bit Release Date

Sorry for the late answer, but I don't particularly want a server build. It's just that if a 64bit official version can't be released because some desktop or multimedia features are not well supported, then I suggest to launch a server version which target headless setups which (officially) don't c...

I was under the impression the 4B 8GB had an *updated* PMIC ?? v1.4 changed + moved the other voltage regulator on the board. Thanks, was not aware the RPi 4B 2 / 4 / 8GB had all moved to revision 1.4: https://www.raspberrypi.org/documentation/hardware/raspberrypi/revision-codes/README.md .

4B's are hitting the channel that will need the latest firmware due to the newer PMIC. Is there any way of identifying a v1.4 with the newer PMIC? Sorry, not PMIC, it's a new C0 stepping that needs newer firmware, but its the same rev of board I believe. Think the PMIC was on the Pi400? Got my wire...

Surely its simply a copy of the right firmware to the boot folder....but I guess they need to package it. They also *really* need to update 9.2.8 to the 5.10.x Kernel as well as the updated firmware, and apply kernel updates to all the releases for the RPi various models supported, considering the ...

I suspect they will need to update their current image fairly soon, as 4B's are hitting the channel that will need the latest firmware due to the newer C0 stepping.
