Re: VNC on Raspberry Pi Desktop for PC and Mac

GDebi wasn't necessary, but it pointed me in the right direction. I installed it and right clicked the filename. I then clicked open with GDebi Package Installer which started and errored out with a message to check the permissions on the file. I right clicked the filename and then clicked "Propert...

Re: Set VNC resolution?

I don't think it's in virtual mode. The settings indicated are the ones for setting the desktop resolution. I've already checked them and they're as I set them. Thank you, though. Run in Virtual Mode and set the desired resolution as per instructions for ""Specifying a screen resolution for a virtu...

I would but have no display for it, and no internet at the house so I have to go to Starbucks for the minute. I'm using a Pi 3 with Raspbian Stretch. Would this still be armhf or can we also use armARCH? Thanks All packages require dependencies, when installing a package it will inform of missing d...

Re: Set VNC resolution?

So I have a headless Pi2 running Raspbian (all up to date) and I connect to it using the bundled VNC. I've set the resolution in raspi-config as low as 640x480, but when I connect via VNC it's always at 1280x900. My question is thus how can I set the VNC resolution, since setting the desktop resolu...

Great, thanks for explaining the difference between architectures. I'm browsing packages.debian.org for armhf .deb packages and also wondered, are all the listed dependencies and libraries included in the main .deb or do the listed dependency libraries have to downloaded individually as well? Two-way audio over Bluetooth requires the HFP/HSP profiles. I've read that BlueALSA can do it, but I haven't heard of anyone who has managed it on a Pi.

I can see why there is no 64-bit version of Raspbian x86... * There is no 64-bit version for the Pi. It is intended to provide an easier experience for users who want to test stuff or port stuff to or from the Pi. The Pi version of Raspbian is not 64-bit capable (even though it could be on the pi3)...

Pi Zero is available from suppliers like Pimoroni and The Pi Hut, plus a few others in the rest of the world. A simple search should find them.

I have suggested that the OP googles but it appears that Google is badly broken in his web browser

The plan is to release a 64bit version when I get a chance. It's just not at the very top of the todo list. It would finally address a few open issues: - It would satisfy those who want to run a 64-bit OS and software, because their processor can. - It would ascertain whether or not 64-bit offers p...
