Re: Modifying weather station. Will Oracle db reflect local

No - the fields that are uploaded are determined by code in 'database.py' . You could easily add to them but the Apex database doesn't have these fields so bad things would happen.

We could of course add extra fields to the Apex schema if there was a demand but that's another discussion :)

Re: FAQ is up and ready for input!

Yes. We're currently working on an interactive map that will let you get in touch (if you are a Pi weather station user) with the other schools, we really want schools to collaborate. More news on this soon, though in the meantime we'll publish to town level and if you'd like to work with a school i...

Re: What is the "Air quality" actually measuring?

It's this sensor http://www.figarosensor.com/products/2600pdf.pdf & measures general gaseous "contaminants" eg hydrogen and CO2 It's pretty basic and gives a feel of "is the air full of other stuff?" but does not measure particulate matter like more expensive sensors. Though we are looking at that a...

glad you got it working and thanks for letting us know. It is a known problem, the pins are bit weedy compared to the header we used in development. I've just updated our build guide to advise on this.

thanks

Re: Wrong values from BMP180 sensors

Hi

i've not used this specific board /code (though it uses the same sensor as on our weather station HAT) but suspect that you need a conversion factor in your code to allow for height above sea level (as circular as that might seem!) I'll look into it for you.
