Re: HELP ME AND MY MONITOR

Is it a normal HDMI to VGA cable or does it have a large box on the VGA end?

Re: Modified USB hub insufficient bus power

Why don't you try using a Toshiba Exceria (red label) card. I only use Exceria cards and the only means I have of shutting down two of my Rpis is to pull the power. I have been cutting power on those Rpis for over a year and have never had any problems with file/card corruption. I don't have the ti...

Modified USB hub insufficient bus power

With my RPi needing a re-format constantly due to frequent power loss I decided to move the root file system to a USB drive. I did this through my laptop so I didn't realize the collision I would had with USB power on the ports. I have 4 USB devices to connect to the Pi now. A Wifi USB, a wired keyb...

Does the keyboard work if you use another display method such as HDMI or the Composite port?

Re: SD-Card-Size is not correct

Try re-sizing the partition manually using another computer. I used a live boot usb with ubuntu on it and ran gparted to re-size mine.

Re: Boot is only partial

Pretty sure that by the time you see the rainbow, the GPU has already unloaded onto the CPU.
It sounds like the SD card might be corrupt due to an incorrect shutdown or a crash.
Try a re-install of the OS.

Re: All my GPIO pins are connected together

Unplug your buttons and test a button output with your ohmmeter and push a button that shouldn't be connected to it. It sounds like all the outputs of the buttons are connected together.

That looks like the readings from the side of the cable. We need the site and page you bought it from or equivalent.

Re: RTL8188cus wifi dongle sleeping

It doesn't seem to become completely unresponsive now. But it randomly spikes with latency of up to 730ms with average jitter at 137ms. Removing the file again gives 8ms latency with jitter of 3ms but I still have the problem of keeping the link alive.

Re: No Noobs after installing Raspian

The Pi's hubs aren't really that strong. An unpowered USB hub will probably end up having reliability issues with certain devices.

Re: RTL8188cus wifi dongle sleeping

I just made the file, And the power supply I use is a few different ones depending on where I am. I use my laptop, A pocket power bank, The USB port on the back of the TV and a USB phone charger. My laptop and the power bank give 5.09v without the pi and around 5.02v with the pi. The TV gives 4.94v ...

RTL8188cus wifi dongle sleeping

So I have a RTL8188cus wifi dongle and it goes to sleep if nothing is sent for around a minute and then it wakes up after about 25 seconds of my trying to access it again through ssh. If I have an idle ssh session open, it will time out when I try to use it again unless it is running "top". Is there...

Re: 3.5'' enclosure keeps alive my PI, but disk is not visib

Turn them both on and then connect the hard drive. I have a similar reboot situation with a wifi chip but it is in all the time so it doesn't matter. My power supply is adequate but there is still enough of a voltage drop to cause a reboot. If your disk still doesn't appear, type in "dmesg" into con...

Damaged SD card.

I was using my RPi today and accidentally dropped the TV on it. I broke the small plastic corner off the SD card and now it doesn't read unless I push it down with my finger. It works fine in my computer and camera though. Would I be able to glue the plastic thing back on or will it damage the elect...
