Re: Anyone installed FreeBSD on RPi Zero W?

There is a comprehensive compatibility page at the Free BSD Wiki: https://wiki.freebsd.org/FreeBSD/arm/Raspberry%20Pi

Although this won't help you resolve your issue it should help you get some answers. For starters, it seems that the wireless chipset is not supported.

Re: raspbsd root user is disable

I'm assuming you have already found out that the credentials are root : root , but may not be aware that the user is disabled from SSH login. You can enable the root user for SSH in /etc/ssh/sshd_config (do a Google search if you need instructions) but it is not advisable to leave this option enable...

Re: shortcut to a folder/directory

I found this to be the easiest way:

1. Select the source folder in the File Manager
2. From the Edit menu select Create Link
3. Browse to the folder you want (in this case, the desktop) and select OK

Boom! Link created :D

Re: VPN server on Raspberry Pi

I've used SoftEther to run a successful VPN server on my Raspberry Pi, and plan on doing it on my new Raspberry Pi 2 as well. Check it out: https://www.softether.org

Correctly updating distribution?

Hi there,

I just wanted to confirm whether performing the sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade command will upgrade my version of Raspbian to the same version in the 20 June 2014 image just released (or any future image for that matter)?

Cheers!

Re: Firmware Question

Just a heads up, the current firmware version is also appearing as 'tainted':
