I suggest you look at Ciseco's http://shop.ciseco.co.uk/ XFR which is a 868Mhz transceiver (TI C1110 chip) they are fairly cheap at around £10. Mycriticism of the PI, having giving it to my young daughters to trial is that current software is very sluggish for them to use it. For example my daughter reverted back to the using Scratch on the PC as it ran faster after the initial excitement of seeing a circuit board boot up had passed.

Found in PoundWorld (not PoundLand) an iPhone/iPost Mains USB Adapter rated at 5v 1Amp. Also they sell a BlackBerry micro usb cable which can be used to connect the PI to the main adapter.

Both currently used to power my PI.

This may be of interest http://jas-hacks.blogspot.co.u.....panel.html , I"ve currently got the code to output sensor triggers to the serial port and it works with all the Friedland accessories (PIR, Door, Keypad, Remote & Bell). Once I get my PI I"m planning to test with it.
