Have you thought about mounting the case to the monitor in a permanent fashion? Depending on the monitor it might be possible to mount the whole thing inside and just have some holes for the ports. I am hoping to get the local college to use their drafting class to make cases for me, as they will be on my list for free computers when it's set up. They have all the equipment.
