Re: Help attempting to watch live tv on kodi

If you still get the same messages on dmesg, it is because you are still using your own compiled module. Remove it, or start fresh, you just need the firmware which I linked above.

Re: Help attempting to watch live tv on kodi

I have done that for a similar if not the same tuner some time ago. I believe that you only need the correct firmware file. You can copy it/them from https://github.com/LibreELEC/dvb-firmwa ... r/firmware to /lib/firmware/

Re: [Guide][Testing] Kodi 18.0 Leia beta versions for Raspbian Stretch!

Hi, This is my first post, so sorry in advance if I make some mistakes. I have installed kodi18 (18.0-RC1 Git:20181121-be9bd450fa-dirty) as well as inputstream.adaptive and netflix addon. It launches fine, but is unable to install widevine. What happens when I try to watch any video is it prompts m...

Re: 64-bit operating system

Fake KMS support MMAL, the problem is that the implementation in some programs don't work yet. Raspivid is a small program, but much more complex programs like VLC, Chromium, Kodi, etc. won't be easy to get hardware video decoding to work. VLC fullscreen mode, with that option, I didn't tested, but ...

Re: 64-bit operating system

Though from the description, fake KMS is supposed to permit MMAL in 32-bit mode. Which description? What I have read is that fake kms allows access to dispmanX. DispmanX and MMAL are 2 different things. I know that there is work in progress to get MMAL working with the VC4 open source fake KMS driv...

Re: [Guide][Testing] Kodi 18.0 Leia beta versions for Raspbian Stretch!

Hello, thanks for tutorial, i installed kodi 18 on raspbian. Is there any change about gaming in kodi? I am looking for ps1 emulator. But i don't want internet rom luncher. I would like to run offline games from local image on disk. When we can expect gaming in kodi 18? This Kodi 18 test builds has...

Re: 64-bit operating system

without the closed-source graphics driver, there is no hardware video decoding and the OpenGLES performance is much worse. Shouldn't video decoding still work with Fake KMS? Per: edit the vc4-kms-v3d overlay to: dtoverlay=vc4-fkms-v3d you will end up with Eric's arm side v3d driver, supporting desk...

I really doubt that. What game that can run on the Pi, requires more than, let's say, 700MB of RAM (to have some spare for the OS)?

Re: 64-bit operating system

64-bit Debian does not use the [Eric's VC4] OpenGL driver. Yes it does. The closed source Broadcom driver does not support 64 bits OSs. I was unsure about this so I did more testing. code_exec seems to be correct with regards to his own Debian MATE image. That is, it does not support either mode fo...

Re: How to root OSMC and install a desktop environment alongside Kodi

However, they do not state that a desktop environment can be installed and that you can use OSMC as a desktop OS. All that needs to be done now is a way to run desktop apps on top of the Kodi interface instead of having to exit Kodi and load the desktop environment. You can't do that, unless you co...

Yep, just like him, when debug logging is enabled the gui shows up when I pause (and stop) the video. So I can't post a log. The issue seems to be related to the Estuary skin because when I changed to another skin the problem disappeared. For a workaround until it is fixed, you can remove the overs...

I tried NOT waiting on networking and removing the fstab entries I put in. Then I did the rc.local thing you mentioned. It worked once, then failed. The sleep 5 may not be enough. Who knows. Re: Raspbian or LibreELEC for Kodi??

There is a really bad timing issue with the startup of Raspbian. If I have "wait on network" set in raspi-config I most likely will not have lxpanel working correctly when I boot. I can very that some by autostarting apps. And that varies depending on whether I put the autostart in .config/lxsessio...
