does kodi-18 included libwidevine?
No. That is handled somewhere in the Netflix addon and inputstream-adaptive/helper, never took a look at the code.

Re: [Guide][Testing] Kodi 18.0 Leia beta versions now available for Raspbian Stretch!

Netflix and Amazon Prime addons are confirmed to be working. On Netflix you should get at least, 480p on a RPi 2 and 720p on a RPi 3/3B+. Thanks, Rascas!

And this also answers my question I wanted to ask: Will there be a Kodi 18 version for Raspbian (Stretch), as soon as the final version is ready?
Yes.

Re: Bad support for flash codec and general KODI issues (unusable browser video playback)

Rascas, in my particular case, these days it is maybe a problem of the KODI addon. I don't know, where the addon takes its stream from. Via the ORF TVthek (www.tvthek.at) one has sometimes no access to elements of the livestream which you can view with the Kodi addon. However, also the Kodi add-on ...

Re: Bad support for flash codec and general KODI issues (unusable browser video playback)

I think you are complaining about many different things in only one post. Your first complaint, should not even been here because it is neither Raspberry Pi or Kodi fault but a problem in the content providers. I will try to explain some of your complaints: - Flash is a dying tech, it doesn't work g...

It is OK, "GL driver is disabled" is the message confirming that you selected the "G3 : Original non-GL desktop driver" . Just reboot for changes to take effect.

Re: How to open navit from kodi?

Try without -9, try to debug that by yourself, add some echos/printfs to a file, on both python and bash scripts, try to launch navit first and kill kodi after, I don't know... You already know what you have to do, try different approaches to do the same.

If it is a RPi 2 or 3, it is:

Code: Select all

sudo killall kodi_v7.bin
it seems completely ignored, kodi doesn't get killed..
Check the processes running with top or something. I can kill Kodi here just fine via ssh with that.

Re: How to open navit from kodi?

How would you start "navit" outside of Kodi ? In a terminal if you write the command "which navit" you will probably get the response "/usr/bin/navit" or something similar which is the full path to the "navit" executable. You might try to enter that full path into the field in Kodi. I already tried...

Re: Trouble with setting up RetroPie in a custom script

I am not sure if that is what you want but you can also call some commands from the RetroPie Script without running the GUI. If you take a look at the code:

Code: Select all

sudo __nodialog=1 ./retropie_packages.sh setup basic_install
This will install RetroPie silently, for example.

Where did you download that skin? If it has a button to open Navit, I think it is better to ask directly to the respective skin developer.

I have many Pis at my home, and all of them can connect through samba, although I don't force any min protocol version. Windows 10 and Android latest versions also work fine. No it is not, the speed is just the same, I tested it myself, and also tested LibreElec and OSMC. And Kodi on Arch Linux misses some things compared with others like mmal, 3d bluray support, some optimizations like h265, etc. You can have some problem with your Raspbian + Kodi but without more infor...
