Re: [Guide] Kodi on Raspbian Stretch

Kodi mounts my USB drives fine if I exit Kodi and then launch it with 'kodi-standalone' from a command shell. In an attempt to get USB drives working after Kodi is autolaunched at boot, I changed my deprecated launch service to systemd, essentially as described in this comment , except I run Kodi a...

Re: Chromium- or Chrome-Browser on LibreElec with "ARM"

I don't think you can install chromium browser on LibreELEC.

But you can install Kodi and Chromium browser on Raspbian, and make it autostart directly to Kodi, there is many different ways of doing this, check this:

Re: [Guide] Kodi on Raspbian Stretch

My Kodi directly autostarts shortly after boot with no desktop. I believe this is done by a service, which was part of the (official?) package from a few versions ago, but it was so long ago I don't recall the details. I imagine the service uses "kodi-standalone" since auto-mounting worked with Kod...

Re: [Guide] Kodi on Raspbian Stretch

Does something special need to be done with Kodi 18.1 in order to use USB drives? On Kodi 17, I would plug in a memory stick or HDD cable and it would auto-mount with the files browsable. Nothing appears now that I've updated Kodi. Thanks in advance! If you are running Kodi from the desktop, you do...

Re: [Guide] Kodi on Raspbian Stretch

I had the same problem yesterday on a new downloaded and installed raspbian image (Lite): - Addons like simpsonsworld and dailymotion were installed out of nowhere - Kodi will consume 100% cpu and the GUI stops doing anything when clicking on ~50% of addons, e.g. "3.Sat Mediathek" - Reproducible af...

Re: [Guide] Kodi on Raspbian Stretch

It doesn't matter which Addon I try, some like supremacy oder f4mtester won't be installed due to dependency errors and others like lastship or OTV Media are crashing the system everytime I klick on install That is exactly your problem, that kind of addons, not the Kodi version. Most likely, that a...

Thanks, I will try , however none of those add-ons are actually installed on the system. They just appear in the available updates list. Re: [Guide] Kodi on Raspbian Stretch

Just installed Kodi 18.1 on my Raspbian Stretch Rasppberry Pi 3B. Actually it is an upgrade from previous version 18.0, which worked well. Anyway, something went wrong, suddenly there are tons of add-ons appearing as having an available update, even though those add-ons were not (and still aren't) ...

Re: Some kodi-audiodecoder add-on packages incorrectly linked

Rascas: I investigated this issue today, the problem is that the binary add-on packages are built with the -DUSE_LTO=1 flag to cmake, but then "ar" and "ranlib" from the binutils package are used on the built libraries, and they do not understand the use of LTO. ar and ranlib print "plugin needed t...

Post it here or in Kodi forum? anyway I browsed through the last log file its not from a clean/deafult Kodi as instructed above, just the last log from the last use. I noticed that Kodi seems to be trying to access my SyncToy.dat file always, and that is causing the "delay" is that normal? though j...

Re: [Guide][Testing] Kodi 18.0 Leia beta versions for Raspbian Stretch!

Well I've been using the latest Kodi 18 for the past weeks One thing I noticed, it takes longer for return to video file selection after finishing any video I watched (20 to 40 seconds delay), unlike when it was still 17.6 (usually takes 10 secs or less). Kodi player on RPi3B+ files are accessed fr...
