Re: Code to execute wi-fi dongle doesnt work

I was able to install the wi-fi dongle on my Mint machine using the following code cd sudo apt-get install build-essential git dkms linux-headers-$(uname -r) git clone https://github.com/kelebek333/rtl8188fu sudo dkms add ./rtl8188fu sudo dkms install rtl8188fu/1.0 But on the pi the error is sudo a...

Re: Code to execute wi-fi dongle doesnt work

It may be a charger problem, I changed the charger and ran the script again. This time there was no error but iwconfig does not report anything. PS I am fortunate to communicate with the writer of the script. Its a neat user friendly script Hi deepakdeshp, Unfortunately there appears to be a proble...

Re: Code to execute wi-fi dongle doesnt work

Firstly, if you are using Raspbian Stretch you should be running a 4.19 kernel, not a 4.14 one. If you do a "sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get -y upgrade", then reboot you will be running the 4.19 kernel. After upgrading you may find that your wifi dongle drivers are already present. What make an...

Re: Moving Linux kernel to 4.19

Apologies for the delay in replying. As of this post I'm still receiving the "Invalid git hash specified" message. If no-one else is having the problem, I can only assume something's wonky at my end. I got this error when using rpi-update to update to kernel 4.19.37-v7+ #1215, but shortly after the...

MrEngman - I have noticed that you have upgraded 8812au drivers to v5.2.20.2_28373.20180619. And finally my TP-Link -T4UHv1 seems to be stable on ac 5GHz channels. Re: Restart on Crash

There's a item called watchdog that you can use to restart your Pi.

I've no idea myself how to use it but there's plenty of stuff about it in the forum. Just search for "watchdog".

I'm assuming wlan1 is via the second installed dongle. To get the most up to da...
