Re: No Wifi connection to Pi Zero W after Raspbian update

My Pi 0 W worked fine with the 2017-11-29-raspbian-stretch-lite image using the older firmware. However, after doing an update/upgrade that installed the new firmware amongst other items it refused to connect to my network. It appeared to want to use ipv6 but could not get a connection and ended up ...

Re: Updating the Kernel manually/Get wifi dongle working.

The mt7601u wifi driver is included in the Raspbian images. You may need to make sure you have the latest firmware installed using sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install firmware-ralink Just connected an mt7601u wifi module, Edimax EW-7811UAN, to my Pi 3B. Took a little time to connect but it is r...

I have a mt7610u wifi dongle running on the latest Raspbian Stretch and the driver is included by default and just works. Are you running the stock kernel or something modified? Really? Can't find the mt7610u wifi driver on my Raspbian Stretch. Are you certain it's an mt7610u wifi module. Or is it ...

I have compiled the mt7610 driver that supports the USB ID your wifi uses. I have a script that will automatically download and install the driver. You can install the script using commands sudo wget http://downloads.fars-robotics.net/wifi-drivers/install-wifi -O /usr/bin/install-wifi sudo chmod +x ...

Re: (UPDATE) Drivers for TL-WN725N V2 - 3.6.11+ -> 4.xx.xx+

@MrEngman It seems there are none of your compiled driver somewhere following 4.9.70 (for instance 4.9.75) until latest 4.9.80; or has URL scheme changed since? I could not find them for newer 4.14.x serie (like latest 4.14.17), which has now become new Hexxeh rpi-firmware master. Does 4.14 branch ...

I think regardless of the kernel version you use or the package used to install the mt7601 firmware the firmware files for the different kernel versions all appear to be the same. Your wpa_supplicant.conf is set up the same as I use on my Pi 0 W except I use country=GB. As yours is set to country=US I assume you are in the US. My Pi 0 W connects to my network without problems. Obvious possible issues are the ssid and psk correct. Is your network using WPA/WPA2 security. You c...
