Re: RPI3B+ firmware update problem

i try another raspbian installation with the same Problem [email protected]:~ $ uname -r 4.14.83v7-aufs Do you know how to solve it ? Is it perhaps a problem because i use berryboot? Yes, because BerryBoot uses it's own kernel images/modules for it's raspbian images. You cannot install updates from RP...

Re: RPI3B+ firmware update problem

I have no idea why that folder has aufs on the end, you must be using a custom built kernel. In which case, I have no idea how to help you, except to say reflashing your SD crd with the latest Raspbian is probably the easiet way to a working system. i try another raspbian installation with the same...

I too used MrEngman's script to successfully install an rtl8812au 0bda:881a Realtek device ( TP-Link Archer TU4H V1 to be precise). So thank you to him. I do question the potential longevity of the solution though due to the script looking for updates at startup. Perhaps I didn't find an already ex...

Re: mt760lu_mcu_wait_resp retrying

Power issues can be caused not just by a PSU that cannot supply sufficient current, but also if the cable connecting the PSU to the Pi is too thin. In this case as the current increases the voltage drop over the power cable will increase and can cause power problems. A similar issue can be caused if...

Re: Just burned out two pi zero boards

Really, are you sure?? On my Pi Zero the ACT LED is usually ON and flashes OFF when there is SD Card activity. Yes Try turning it on without an sd-card and the LED will not turn on! Obviously, but with an SD card with Rasbian running the LED is permanently on unless the SD card is being written to ...

Re: mt760lu_mcu_wait_resp retrying

I expect /etc/modprobe.d/81922cu.conf is not going to do anything useful. /etc/modprobe.d/8192cu.conf , without the extra 2, is usually used by the 8192cu driver and you are using the mt7601 driver. A couple of things I can think of - a possible power supply issue, or the motor driver interfering wi...

Re: Help install Asus USB N53 wifi

You do not need to install a driver for the USB N53. It uses the rt2800usb driver that is included in the Raspbian image which is shown installing in the image you posted. You should just need to configure the wifi to get it to connect to your wifi network. And possibly disable the built in wifi to...

Using Raspbian Stretch you should not edit file /etc/network/interfaces. If you do it can mess up the networking. The rpi-update command loads the Testing branch kernel and firmware, which may by buggy or unstable. Unless you actually want to test possibly buggy and unstable software to report errors, don't rpi-update. The proper way to upgrade Raspbian to the latest stable kernel and firmware is: sudo apt upd...
