GPU Computing

We've been doing quite advanced GPU calculations using rgb textures since pi 1. We've done this through some hacks; 16 bit data is transfered to the gpu (divided into 5-6-5 bits), after which the original data is calculated from the rgb data through a shader and the result is written to another text...

PI 2 spidev SPI buffer size

We are trying to change the SPI buffer size in the PI 2 to 32768, with kernel version 4.1.10-v7+. Here are the steps taken so far: 1) Enable SPI from raspi-config - Gives the error "modprobe: ERROR: could not insert 'spi_bcm2708': No such device" - The following works: sudo modprobe spi-bcm2835 2) T...

Hello! I have a touch screen by Chalkboard Electronics (this one: http://www.chalk-elec.com/?page_id=1280#!/~/product/category=3094861&id=14647624). I'm having some troubles getting touch events to work in SDL2. I'd prefer to have the touch screen working without loading up X-Windows. I've tried usi...

Re: py-spidev mod help

Well, this worked for us:
  • Go to: /sys/module/spidev/parameters
  • You'll find a file called "bufsiz", make sure you have read/write-permissions to it.
  • Change the value in the file from 4096 to whatever you want.

Re: py-spidev mod help

sparkinson, did you get it working? Does someone else know what could be causing this? I'm having the exact same problem. Edit: I should say that I've commented out spi in /etc/modprobe.d/raspi-blacklist.conf and SPI is working properly. I just can't change the buffer size. I've tried loading spidev...
