Archiver

All,

I'm using Xarchiver 0.5.2SVN-r29673 to unpack a TAR file from the Canon Printer driver site.

It fails, reporting can't open file, archive format is not recognized.

Other have successfully downloaded, unpacked and installed this driver.

Are there permissions that need to be set, or can I try anything else

Try tar itself from the command line?

Thanks, That worked. Now to figure out from the multitude of further archives, which is the one to install
