What app for a road eye car ?

i'd like to record the n last minutes or till it reach a limit of n Go of data in my sdcard in a continous video flow (newest pics push oldest ones )

and a way to watch it... (i think vlc can do that ...)

in first step...

i've found nothing simple with vlc or ffmpeg... do you have an suggestion ?

and maybe if i manage to do it ...

nmea gps sentences as subtitle for exemple...

How do you get the video data "into" the Pi ?
I'd wait for the camera module.
