Thin client for raspberrt pi.

I need same help urgently . I need a os linux. That’s basically a thin client . that only has my network setting on and Remote desktop.. .please can anybody help me ..

Arch Linux Arm is a Command Line Linux Distro and probably a good base to start from:

i downloaded arc . but dont know much about linux. . i also downloaded thinstation but cant get it to boot from the memory card... thinstation is samthing i'm looking for... we going to use the PI to replace our dumb tirmanuls . still testing it to see if it will work. and so far not so good not getting any joy .....

The Raspi does not use an i686 class processor. It uses an ARM processor which runs different code. Thinstation will not run on a Raspberry Pi (unless someone creates an ARMv6 version).

You should be able to get the functionality from other packages though, although you might find the Pi a bit slow where graphical screen is involved.

Thinstation http://www.thinstation.org appears to be for X86 architecture, the Pi uses the ARMv6 architecture.

Thanks for all the help . i got a OS for the raspberry pi that works like a thin client..[b]RPI-TC[/b] is the OS i installed . not to bad.. start testing testing today with the users ...

sorry for the late comment but my goal is almost exactly the same as yours, i managed to get the pi to boot into rdesktop in around 50 seconds but if they log out it brings them back to the linux desktop, is there anyway to lock it in place?

i also experimented with arch linux but found out you need some sort of desktop session to run rdesktop so it really slows it down

but anyway id love to know how you got on!

Hi I'm also trying to setup a thin client using Rdesktop.
I have managed to remote onto the windows server and log in automatically (With a little script).
I can then manually start the application I want to run (via a VB Script on the Windows machine).
My question is how can I start the application automatically from running a Linux script on the Pi.
