Problem with X in raspbian
when i try to use almost any program, the bottom of my window is always cut off. Can anyone help me sort this out?

I guess that is either because the program you run opens a window that is too large for the screen (because you have a low screen resolution), or because you need to play with the overscan settings in config.txt to make the whole desktop visible on your monitor (search the forums and/or wiki for overscan info). Are you using a composite or an HDMI screen? Do you know what screen resolution you have (e.g. 1024x768, etc)?
