Hi all
i was using desktop pc as CCTV server with Kmotion (linux ubuntu)
this PC is dead now
i was thinking of using RPI as the server
the setup:
4 camera powered by 9v converters
those camera are connected to rca to coax adaptors and running coax cable to the desktop pc place (which is now dead)
in the old pc i had pci video capture card with 4 coax inputs
what i would like to do:
take RPI add usb hub and connect 4 easycap devices to it
(like those http://www.ebay.com/itm/Easycap-USB-2-0 ... 5d370c59d6)
it should look like this wifi usb dongle ----- RPI ------- USB HUB ------ 4 easycap devices
will it work?
can RPI hendle 4 cameras?
cctv using RPI

Replace your cameras with IP cameras and the Pi can just pull the feeds over the network

Forget USB solutions for th meantime. People have problems with one captue device and
you are aiming for for. Perhaps a BeagleBoard is better suited to your needs.
