Two problems trying to view MagPi via Pi Store

I have tried out the Pi Store by getting issue 8 of MagPi. I have 2 problems:

1. I cannot find where the PDF is downloaded to. I searched my unix user's home directory, including hidden sub-directories but no luck.
2. I installed xpdf, but I still cannot view the MagPi through the Pi Store app. I am told I need to set xpdf to be the default application, but I cannot find where to do this. I don't see an app on the start menu to do this.

Can anyone help me with these?

I managed to view the MagPi from within the Pi Store app by setting xpdf as the default application. I did this by:

1. Copying a PDF from my laptop onto the Pi.
2. Right clicking on the PDF in the Fife Manager and choosing "Open with...".
3. choosing "Other -> xpdf" from the menu and selecting the "set as default" option.
4. Closing, then re-opening the Pi Store app and clicking the "Launch" option for the MagPi issue 8.

It should download to /usr/local/bin/indiecity/InstalledApps.

"Why do you need the IndieCity Download Client?"

Exactly! Why do I need to download and install (this is under Windows at the moment) a client that pushes "recommended downloads" and defaults into "sharing" mode?!?

I want to simply download the (expletive deleted) pdf of Magpie!

I dint think anybody ever said that you (you specifically) need this. It's an option if you want it.

Xpdf is the default PDF app in the latest (16/12/2012) official build of Raspbian. I can confirm that the "launch" of magpi from the Pi Store works "out of the box" with this new Raspbian.
