This is ridiculous. I registered with RS back in 25th MAY! And still no sign of the pi!
All my collegues at work are popping over to Maplins for their lunch break and getting it delivered after a mere 3 weeks!
I am being told that the 17+ weeks is due to difficulty in the supplier providing CPUs - but this doesn't seem to be a problem for Maplins. Presumably, the Rasberry Pis from Maplins are being shipped with CPUs that were originally supposed to be in the RS supplied Rasberry Pis. Why are the Rasberry Pis allowing Maplins to queue jump like this? Surely they should have cancelled the orders with RS and reordered with Maplins months ago!
Am bitterly dissapointed with the service.

Early feedback is that Maplins are getting their Pi's from Farnell/Element 14, not from RS.

I've already ordered from RS
The money's been taken and I dont really have budget to be out 70 quid whilst waiting up to 3 weeks for a refund from RS
I have all the other kit I need, just the Pi and the case to complete it.
I appear to be pretty close to the top of the queue so at this point to cancel would be futile

I've already posted the first part of my order number, I'm not posting it again.
Why 70 quid? Maplin selling their kit for 70

My Raspberry Pi which has been ordered on 21th June at RS Components from Luxembourg (order number 86xxx) has been dispatched today (at least according to the e-mail I got from RS Components). I also ordered a black and a clear case.
In the meantime I already played with a 2nd rev Pi from Farnell which I got from eBay.

Any news on refunds, been chasing my refund since beginning of last month. When emailed about delivery times you were quick in responding with the little spread sheet of order numbers and due dates (mine is sometime in November even though I ordered in July). Now that I want a refund you have clammed up on me, no response to refund request submitted via your site, no response to complaint submitted via your site, no response to the emails I have sent, I even called and got the promise that someone would get back in touch with me and again this hasn't happened.
I want my money back. You were quick enough to take it even though you didn't have the product, but now it's nigh on impossible to get my money back.
Very poor show.
My order number is:- 1010170092

You keep talking about 'you' as though this was the RS forum. It is not, so it is highly likely that any message posted here will never be seen by RS. You will have to keep trying to contact RS directly if you want them to take notice..

It's an RS thread and seeing as all other avenues have been exhausted I'm just grasping at straws for a response, but the more people that know about their non existent customer service the more people will think twice about ordering.

My Raspberry Pi arrived yesterday (ordered on 21th june, number 86xxx). My order included a clear and a black case which are very nice. The new pink plastic packaging is also very nice!

Hey according to RS I should receive my PI this week I am not holding my breath as I ordered it on the 4th July. Farnell have managed to deliver 2 to me with a lead time of less than 2 weeks on each ( I keep bought them as presents) I have really lost faith in RS.

Well as RS stated my pi arrived between the 12 and 18th of November, did not get a letter of apology for it being several months late how ever did get a lovely pink box for my pi which Farnell did not give me.
