Quake 3 on Raspbian wheezy

Hi,

I am really struggling with compiling Quake 3 on my Raspberry Pi.
I dont know what i am doing wrong on it, but it will not even download the source files.
I am using the files from https://github.com/raspberrypi/quake3.git and following the instructions from http://www.raspbian.org/RaspbianQuake3 .

I am running it off the LXterminal on my Pi and it will not download. Should i try on the Root terminal?

I am only 14 and struggle very much with this type of thing, so can responses be in easy to follow instructions, thankyou!

I have a quick tutorial on how to build Quake 3 on Raspbian... Your thoughts and ideas would be appreciated! (Sorry that I am a bit unclear when it comes to the Pak files and the baseq3 part! REMEMBER: the Pak files need to be in the baseq3 folder... Not in another baseq3 folder inside the baseq3 folder!) Don't worry you will understand when you come to that part!

but i just transferd the files from another computer.

Are you sure that your Raspberry Pi has internet access? Sounds like it doesn't. Although what error does it give you?

Try using Midori to go to any webpage.
