Audio input

Suggestions and requests for the Raspberry Pi Foundation

Hello, I have searched through the past posts on this topic, but I see no clear answer. What are the audio input capabilities? I don't see an audio-in jack. But perhaps there is some other way? Yes I am sure I can get a USB sound card but I am trying to avoid that. I don't need stereo or very low delay. I do need the ability to do audio out and audio in at the same time, with a moderate amount of signal processing.

There is no audio in. You can buy a usb device, or write some code to bitbang an input through the gpio pins.

The specs on the audio codec show a mic in, wire up a header and see what you get.

That is not true, there is NO audio in. There is no audio codec.
