Currently we have the following number of mirrors on each continent.
Europe 6
North america 1
Australasia 1
South america 0
Asia 0
Africa 0
The primary public server is also currently in north america but is likely to move to europe soon.
This seems rather unbalanced to me. In particular once we put a system in place for directing users to a local mirros I don't think it's reasonable for hexxeh to be expected to take all the strain for america.
looking for mirrors in locations outside europe

Hi plugwash, I can host a mirror in Malaysia, South East Asia. However, I'm not sure how to get started. Is there any guide for rsync? I appreciate if you can shed some light for me.

Thanks for the offer
We really need to better sort out how are mirrors are operating anyway, afaict right now most if not all of them are using dumb rsync which causes a window of time in which the repositry is broken during update, we need to get smarter about the updates.
I'll try and put a script together soon for people to use.
