Does Debian SoftFloat use the same firmware in /boot as the HardFloat version? And the same question for /lib/firmware: Can Debian SoftFloat also use this firmware for e.g. the WiFi adapters?

I thought this was a very simple question! Is no one able to answer?

Maybe you're able to answer the question yourself: create a SD-card with the soft-float image, and then a SD-card with the hard-float image, and compare what you want to compare.
Remember: one of the great things of the Raspi, is that you can freely experiment and tinker with it.

Thanks for the hint, I hoped there was a much quicker way!

Part of the problem is that your question is very badly worded.
The 'firmware' files, used by the GPU, are the same. Everything else (kernel etc) has to be compiled for hardfloat/softfloat.
