AV in from HDMI????

Pretty simple question (I hope) can you use the hdmi as an AV input and somehow record whats attached from the HDMI? <=== Did that all make sense? :?

not as far as I know - though it would be handy
have one RPi encode video and another play back ....

The question makes sense - but unfortunately the HDMI is only output video, not input.

AFAIK the only way to get video "into" the Pi is to wait for the proposed camera add-on, or by using a USB video-input-recorder dongle (or a USB webcam, etc.).
