Just ordered my 2nd RPi

Ok, so I don't plan on flogging it on Ebay for a sneaky profit... :P Although I did notice that RS are selling 3 cases at just under a fiver each. 1 Black, 1 White and 1 Clear. Are these the official cases then?

So, 10 weeks to wait... but what could one do with two Pis?... I am tempted to hand it to a mate who is interested... but I don't know. Guess it depends on how greedy I am in 10 weeks time? :twisted:
RPi 1: Hostname: Gimli, 500Gb USB HDD, ArchLinux | ARM.
Main Use: Bit of everything - but mainly web server, Network Storage and C programming.

RPi 2: Hostname tba, awaiting delivery.

Seems to be no link - but they were there on the order page. Can't get back again now as the activation code is now invalid...

Was there a limit on how many you could order at one time?

Yes wasn't able to order more than 1... Accessories I don't think had the limit - but then I didn't try :P

The UK cases appear to be VERY similar to those being offered by ModMyPi although not exactly the same...

Budd ugly if you ask me (I realise nobody has). :lol: Doesn't it make the whole thing unnecessarily big too?

Eugh! Fugly!

I can't find any case on the RS site. Maybe it's only shown on order pages. I'm still looking for a basic clear enclosed case with enough ventilation. I dare not leave the pi out as I have young children who would find it irresistable. Top/bottom covered only case look pretty but still too tempting for little fingers...

This is the case i've brought.

If you ask me, i'd say this is the best one. Its cheap and allows for lots of ventilation, very sturdy and strong and even has additional holes over the headers and GPIO incase you expand any features...
The case isn't ugly either and probably the best part about it is how still it holds the board which allows cables to be plugged in and pulled out with ease and without the risk of breaking anything :D

My 2nd RPi is on its way too, definitely getting another one of these cases for it.

By the way, i brought it off ebay for £8 including postage & packaging.
